We are dedicated to giving you the best possible experience of the Straits of Mackinac, and the surrounding islands. We provide a safe and comfortable environment, as well as the unique privilege of navigating the Straits in your own vessel, with a local guide to show you all of the best sights.
Our Red Cross certified guides will give you the best view of the water and the Islands. They have been kayaking the local waterways for over 20 years, guaranteeing a safe and rewarding tour every time. They are filled with knowledge and passion for paddlesports, gear, and the local area, and adept at supporting all ages and skill levels.
Our gear is top notch! Our rental kayaks (by Liquid Logic, Native Watercraft, and Paluski) and stand up paddleboards (by Malibu and Imagine) have been carefully selected for the Straits of Mackinac to provide you with the most comfortable, stable, and secure environment. We offer a perspective of the beautiful Islands and Straits of Mackinac, that can only be experienced thru immersive watersports.
We have 2 locations: 1 on Mackinac Island, & 1 in Mackinaw City.
How to Find Us on Mackinac Island:
The island is accessible via ferry boat from Mackinaw City and St. Ignace.
We are located in the middle of town, on the shore line, behind the historic Horse Corral Mall.
Across from the Haunted Theatre.
Doud's Deli is on the street side inside the Horse Corral Mall.
Follow the rock path on either side of the buildings to the beach.
You can see us from the ferry boats, we are adjacent to the Sheplers Dock.

- We are located on the beach inside of the Michilimackinac State Park.
- Next to the Visitor's Center.
- Underneath the south side of the Mackinac Bridge.

Beginners receive detailed instruction on the shore before departure.
You will be assisted into and out of your kayak/paddleboard for your safety.
Guides will point out the best pathway to follow in the harbour to avoid boat traffic.
Always take care of the provided equipment: Paddle, life vest and kayak/paddleboard.
You will be exerting physical energy and getting plenty of excercise.
Expect to get a litle bit wet from paddle drip.
Balance is key with paddle sports, expect to get some practice maintaining your balance.
Expect to improve your kayaking and paddling skills!
Life jackets are provided, and must be worn at all times.
- Alcohol use is prohibited.
Be aware of surroundings at all times: watch the water for boats and unexpected waves.
Keep a centered balance when entering and exiting, and while paddling the kayak or SUP, to avoid tipping over.
